We all love our vehicles more than anything. We all know that our vehicles are one of the most important assets we own. However, we all fail to realise that we need to take care of our vehicles on a regular basis in order for them to function properly. One of the most important things that need to be done on a regular basis is the changing of oil. You can either change the oil for every 3000 miles or for every 12 months. If you think that changing your vehicle oil is not so important, here are some convincing reasons why you need to think otherwise.

Preserving the Lubrication of the Engine
Motor oil is used to prevent the large chains in the engine from rubbing against each other. The large hydrocarbon chains that are positioned between the piston and the piston walls need to be prevented from contacting each other. However, the heat from the engine will break down these chains and will make the oil to offer less protection. So, eventually, the chains will run against each other. When they do, the engine will begin to destruct itself.
Preventing Sludge Build Up
As you drive, a wide range of debris will be picked up from the external environment into the vehicle. This debris, which includes the dust, will begin to contaminate the oil that you use. When this debris congeals together, it forms the sludge when it is finally mixed with the oil. This sludge will then start to stick on your motor parts and begin to deteriorate the condition of your vehicle. By changing the engine oil on a regular basis, you will be able to prevent the build-up of contaminants which form the sludge.
Changing the Oil Filter
The oil filter is a feature available in a vehicle to prevent various contaminants from creating the sludge. However, these particles contaminate the filter as well. Therefore, this filter is useless up until you change the oil. Since this feature is less effective in filtering out the contaminants, you need to make sure that you change the oil on a regular basis.
Preventing the Build Up of Condensation
This is an important component that people most often overlook. When the water in the engine is in a cool state, there is a certain level of moisture that condenses. This is also an important contaminant you immediately need to get rid of. Even if you do not drive around your vehicle much, this reason proves that you need to change your oil at least once in 12 months. Furthermore, even if you only go on short-trips, do not hesitate to change your oil. Since it is more than enough reason for the water to condense, your engine can deteriorate. So, change the oil as frequently as you can.
Furthermore, you also need to make sure that the oil level is properly full. When your oil indicator begins to work, check the oil level immediately. Moreover, Check the oil gauge every month since low levels of oil can damage the engine to a serious extent.
