All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)is a national level exam, conducted by National Law University (NLU), tentatively in the month of May.Students who crack AILET will get admission on merit basis, in BA LLB (Hons), LLB and Ph.D. degree programs.
AILET is conducted in pen and paper mode. The application form for AILET is available to be filled online. There are no major variations in the exam pattern, i.e., the same pattern is followed every year.Students are required to solve 150 objective type questions in 90 minutes.
NLU conducts AILET in at least 20 different centres across the country. It is considered to be one of the most difficult entrance exam. Last year, as many as 16215 applicants registered for 81 seats.
Exam Pattern of AILET
AILET question paper is divided into five sections namely: English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Legal Aptitude. The candidates have to solve 150 questions in 90 minutes. 1 mark is awarded for every correct answer. There is no negative marking for incorrect attempts.

According to the students’ feedback, it was observed that AILET 2017 was comparatively tougher and lengthier than the previous years. Besides, students felt that 90 minutes weren’t enough to complete the paper accounting to its difficulty level.
Students observed that the General Knowledge section was the toughest of all, whereas Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning werethe lengthiest.
All and all, the paper was average-tough and lengthy, if compared to previous years.

AILET General Knowledge
The current affairs are assumed to be given from the events taken place from the middle of the previous year. It comprise of questions derived from Nobel Prize in Economics, Miss International Concept, GSAT, ROSS robot, International Happiness Day, Indian Bank’s Software Robotics, HDI, Medals that India won in special Olympics, etc. However, Static GK was a mixed bag comprising of questions primarily from scientific happenings.
